As a leader and mentor, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that encompasses brand positioning, product innovation, consumer insights, digital marketing, content creation, and customer acquisition. - Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with overall business objectives, including brand positioning, product innovation, pricing, promotion, distribution, and customer segmentation
- Collaborating with sales and trade teams to develop trade marketing programs and initiatives aimed at driving product distribution, trade promotion, and merchandising strategies.
- Lead collaboration with retail partners to negotiate and implement joint marketing programs, category management initiatives, and in-store promotions to increase product visibility, sales, and brand presence in retail environments.
- Oversee the management of our brand portfolio, including brand positioning and brand guidelines. Lead efforts to build and strengthen our brands in the market, increase brand awareness, and drive brand loyalty.
- Drive the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies, including digital advertising, social media, e-commerce, content marketing, email marketing, and influencer partnerships, to maximize our online presence and engagement with consumers.
- Utilize consumer research, data analytics, and market trends to uncover consumer insights and translate them into actionable marketing plans. Leverage consumer understanding to develop targeted marketing campaigns and drive consumer-centric innovation.
- Optimize marketing channels and tactics to drive customer acquisition and retention goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, Operations, and Finance, to align marketing initiatives with overall business strategies and drive collaborative efforts to achieve business goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Set performance metrics, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure team success.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, including budget planning, allocation, and tracking. Ensure efficient and effective use of marketing resources to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance data and KPIs, provide regular reports to the executive team, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and tactics.
- Foster a culture of innovation and creativity, encouraging new ideas, experimentation, and continuous improvement
- Develop a comprehensive content strategy aligned with overall marketing and business objectives. Define the brand's content pillars, target audience, messaging, and content formats across various channels and platforms.
- Develop strategies for content distribution and promotion, including SEO, social media, email marketing, influencer partnerships, and other relevant channels. Optimize content distribution tactics to maximize reach and engagement.
- Build out marketing organization to support the company’s aggressive growth goals. Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for existing and future team members.
- Develop revolutionary and innovative marketing strategies that push boundaries and lead the way in exploring new categories and cutting-edge approaches of thinking and doing
- Elevate content and storytelling to new heights including more and better aspirational content as well as greater reach and appropriate segmentation
- Adapt to unique business needs and opportunities, including through the successful execution of fundamentals that can be flexible and scalable, to fit the needs of the business through its growth and evolution
- Ability to create a vision, set the strategy, build/develop the team and lead a marketing org that has successfully contributed to the growth of a brand from low to mid 7 figures to well beyond 9 figures.
- Able to balance and right size opportunities against goals and means. Including demonstrated examples of having the discipline to keep a company sustainable and viable without selling out for results through excessive spending over good planning, execution and development.
- Passionate about regenerate agriculture; willing and able to grow and develop expertise to keep FON relevant and tip of the spear in championing our regenerative mission
- Proven track record of success in marketing leadership roles, preferably within the CPG industry, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape in the CPG industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
- Experience in managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, traditional advertising, PR, and social media.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional marketing teams, including product management, brand management, advertising, and digital marketing.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive content strategies that align with overall marketing objectives, brand positioning, and target audience needs.
- Experience in managing content creation processes, including content planning, production, editing, and distribution, while ensuring consistency in brand messaging, tone, and style.
- Solid understanding of data-driven marketing, analytics, and marketing performance measurement to inform decision-making and optimize marketing efforts.
- Proven experience in developing and managing marketing budgets, financial forecasting, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate marketing strategies, plans, and results to senior executives, board members, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in adapting to unique business needs and opportunities including through the successful execution of fundamentals that can be flexible and scalable to fit the needs of the business through its growth and evolution
- Experience setting the strategy, building the team and leading a marketing org that has successfully contributed to the growth of a brand from low to mid 7 figures to well beyond 9 figures.
