JOB SUMMARY:
At Force of Nature, we promise a different breed of marketing support, and you’ll craft and deliver this on a national scale with a focus on our product lifecycle management (PLM) and product marketing management (PMM) across all products and channels. This role will own our product vision and strategy, including the entire product lifecycle and process to support it.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You are a brand, retail, and consumer-obsessed marketer and are passionate about product strategy, innovation, and commercialization.
- You will own product lifecycle management including: product ideation and strategy, analysis and evaluation of ideas, planning and cross-functional execution, launch/GTM, post-launch optimization, tracking, and more.
- You will problem solve and execute complex plans and projects while being incredibly organized and communicative.
- You will own and drive our annual product targets and plan (including innovation, renovation, etc.) ensuring key dates and milestones are met – with a focus on proactivity versus reactivity.
- You will develop and execute a comprehensive product marketing strategy that highlights Force of Nature’s unique offerings and differentiates the brand in the marketplace.
- You will audit, develop, optimize, and implement our product lifecycle process, and will manage cross-functional adoption of the process via Asana to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- You will help drive the vision setting and ideation process starting with the founders and leadership team, and help test and evaluate and engage with the broader team to analyze opportunities in such a way that we can launch and grow products effectively.
- Similarly, you will partner closely with our sales team and retail partners and assist in uncovering key opportunities at retail to meet customer needs.
- You will help take our best and well-vetted ideas and coordinate cross-functionally to commercialize them and make decisions along the way as we learn, in tandem with executing flawlessly across stakeholders.
- You’re a creative thinker with proven pre- and post-launch ideas around product and campaign positioning, and the support needed to succeed.
- Beyond new product innovation, you’ll ensure we get the same product-level focus as we get brand-level focus and some of our biggest areas of opportunity like positioning our products against organic and positioning our beef against conventional. This includes packaging, promotion, etc.
- Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches and evergreen campaigns, including positioning, messaging, and promotional tactics to drive sales and brand awareness
- Lead category management and support efforts, including assortment, shopper insights, merchandising, pricing and promotional activities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, project management, and relationship management skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product lifecycle management, strategy and product marketing, preferably in the food or meat industry.
- Experience driving product lifecycle strategy and product marketing, including inbound and outbound.
- Experience planning and executing multichannel campaigns.
- Experience in project management and product lifecycle management.
- Strong familiarity with project management software (e.g. Asana)
- Strong understanding of the retail and consumer landscape and consumer behavior.
- Must be creative. You can understand brand, product, and campaigns and creative possibilities and effectively differentiate and communicate features and benefits.
- Must be strategic. You can take chaos and create clarity and think big, but filter it and translate it via data into something tangible and execute.
- Must be very organized and process-driven to be able to take complex ideas and make them clear and to keep a bunch people and functions aligned and in harmony on key projects
- Analytical by nature, and proficient in data analysis and budget management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
