ANCESTRAL BLEND CHILI

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 package of Force of Nature Beef or Bison Ancestral Blend
  • 1 onion - chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons of smoked paprika
  • 4 cups of beef broth (or beef bone broth)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 can of kidney beans (15oz) - drained and rinsed
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes (15oz) 
  • Optional Toppings: Sour cream and chopped green onions

PREPARATION:

  1. Using a deep skillet or large pot, add the olive oil and sauté the onion and the 2 chopped cloves of garlic on medium high heat until soft.
  2. Add the ground meat into the skillet. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes until browned.
  3. Add your beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt & pepper, and tomato paste, diced tomatoes, kidney beans to the pot and stir ingredients together.
  4. Lower the heat to medium and allow to simmer for 35-40 min before removing from heat. Add your toppings and ENJOY!
