INGREDIENTS:
- Force of Nature Bison Short Rib
- 3 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Onion powder
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 1 sprig thyme
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 cloves garlic
PREPARATION:
- Remove the Bison short rib from the Force of Nature packaging
- Pat short rib dry with a paper towel
- Rub the mustard over the entire surface of the short rib (this will create a nice crust on the meat)
- Season the short rib with Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Smoke the short rib at 250 degrees 1 hour and 30 minutes
- Remove the short rib from the smoker and place on a clean plate
- Bring beef broth and red wine to a boil uncovered to a dutch oven to flash off alcohol
- Reduce to medium - low heat and add in yellow onion, rosemary, thyme, bay leaves, garlic cloves, short rib and cover.
- Let the mixture simmer on medium heat for 4 hours.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from Dutch oven and enjoy!
