Italian Style Chicken Sausage with Creamy Polenta & Hot Honey Marinara

Force of Nature
Worth the Bite's Chicken Sausage + Creamy Polenta

Worth the Bite is back, and this time our buddy Morgan from @sote.kitchen is stopping by Force of Nature HQ and our test kitchen to celebrate the launch of our brand-new Italian Style Chicken Sausage!

And what better way to put this new sausage to the test than with a big, cozy plate of Italian comfort food?

We're talking creamy Parmesan polenta, rich hot honey marinara, and beautifully browned Italian chicken sausage, all piled together into one seriously delicious meal.

We're pretty excited about this new addition to our lineup. It's made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients, packed with flavor, and makes throwing together an incredible meal easier than ever.

The coolest part is this entire dish comes together in about 30 minutes and tastes like something you'd order at your favorite Italian restaurant.

Simple ingredients, big flavor, and a meal the whole family will love.

  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Italian Chicken Sausage & Toppings

Preparation

In a large pot over medium-high heat, add the FOND Chicken Bone Broth and a pinch of salt. Bring to a gentle simmer, then slowly whisk in the polenta until fully incorporated.

Cook the polenta according to the package instructions, stirring frequently until tender and creamy. Add the butter, heavy cream, Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Reduce the heat to low and stir until everything is combined. If the polenta gets too thick, add a little more broth or water. Cover and keep warm.

For the marinara, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the red onion and garlic and cook for about 4 minutes, until the onion is soft and translucent. Pour in the Sauz Hot Honey Marinara, season with salt and pepper, and stir well. Reduce the heat and let it gently simmer.

Remove the Force of Nature Italian Style Chicken Sausages from the packaging. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet, cast iron pan, or plancha over medium-high heat. Add the sausages and cook, turning occasionally, until beautifully browned and crispy on all sides, about 4 to 5 minutes.

Time to plate! Spoon a generous layer of creamy Parmesan polenta onto a large plate or serving platter. Top with the hot honey marinara, sliced Italian chicken sausage, freshly shaved Parmesan, and chopped parsley.

Finish with a drizzle of good olive oil and enjoy!

Morgan's Cooking Tips

Keep that polenta creamy. Polenta thickens as it sits, so don't be afraid to add another splash of bone broth or water before serving. You want it creamy, not stiff.

Get some color on the sausage. A hot pan and a little olive oil will give the chicken sausage those beautiful browned edges that make every bite even better.

Let the sauce do the work. The Sauz Hot Honey Marinara brings a little sweetness, a little heat, and plenty of flavor without requiring you to make a sauce from scratch.

Serve it family style. Spread the creamy polenta across a big platter, spoon the marinara over the top, and pile on the sliced sausages. Finish with Parmesan and parsley, then bring the whole thing to the table.

Make it a weeknight staple. Good sausage, creamy polenta, and a great jar of marinara are all you need to turn a handful of simple ingredients into something special.
